Tillery Slams Way to Player of the Night

Willmar, Minn (June 19th, 2013)--The Willmar Stingers continued to win on Wednesday night as they took out the Alexandria Blue Anchors. The Stingers were led on offense by Zack Tillery (Florida Gulf Coast).
Tillery was 3/4 on the night, but one of his hits was a big one: a grand slam in the bottom of the first inning to set the tone for the game. Tillery is batting .474 through 38 at bats on the year.
The Stingers will head to Mankato on Thursday for a double header starting at 6:05.
Vincent Provides Big Relief

Mequon, WI (June 19th, 2013)--The Battle Creek Bombers were forced to go to their bullpen early in Wednesday night's win over the Lakeshore Chinooks. In an effort to halt the Chinooks' recent hot run, the Bombers turned to Caleb Vincent (Grand Valley State) for some solid bullpen innings.
Vincent was able to provide five innings of work with three hits and no walks allowed. He managed to allow only one run, and he stymied all Chinook efforts to rally.
The Bombers will will play Lakeshore again on Thursday at 6:35.
