(ROCHESTER, MN) The Northwoods League has announced the complete schedule for the upcoming 2012 regular season, the League’s 19th season of play. For the third consecutive year the Northwoods League will use a 70-game divisional schedule. All teams will play the other seven teams from their division a total of ten times throughout the season.
The regular season begins on Wednesday, May 30th and concludes on Sunday, August 12th. The first half of the season will be complete at the end of play on Wednesday, July 4th with the second half beginning the following day. The first and second half division winners from both the North and South will meet in a best-of-three Divisional Playoff Series on August 13-15. The South Division now consists of seven Wisconsin franchises and the defending Northwoods League Champions, Michigan’s Battle Creek Bombers.
