Waterloo, IA - The Waterloo Bucks have announced infielder Thomas Lindauer will return to play for the Bucks in 2012. Lindauer, a sophomore at the University of Illinois, is the sixth player to be named to Waterloo's roster for the team's 18th season.

Last season for the Bucks, Lindauer played in 53 games, finishing with a .215 average. The 6'2", 170-pounder drove in 24 runs, scored 34 runs, and stole nine bases. Lindauer saw the majority of his playing time at shortstop for Waterloo.

Born December 2, 1991, Lindauer attended Moline High School where he was ranked number 15 in the state by Prep Baseball Report after his senior season. Named the Quad City Times Athlete of the Year in 2010, Lindauer was a member of Team Illinois for the Illinois vs. Iowa all-star game. Thomas is the son of Derek Lindauer and Andria McDermott.
