BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (July 11, 2012) – Madison Mallards starting pitcher Bobby Poyner (Florida) earned the honor of Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night for Wednesday, July 11.
Poyner threw six innings, picked up no earned runs on four hits and walked just one. He also struck out nine Battle Creek batters. Poyner has an ERA of 1.93.
The Mallards won the game 3-2. Battle Creek will host the Mallards on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. ET.
