MANKATO, Minn. (August 15, 2012) – The MoonDogs got on the board early to put pressure on the Willmar Stingers, but the Stingers were unable to get it going and were eliminated from the 2012 Playoffs.

The MoonDogs were led by the dominant starting pitching performance of Davis Henderson (Oklahoma City). Henderson threw 5.1 innings and allowed one run on three hits and struck out six batters.
Craig Massoni (Chabot College) got on base and in to score for the MoonDogs early. He was 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Audie Afenir (Palomar CC) added a two-run home run for Mankato.
The 2012 Summer Collegiate World Series between the Mankato MoonDogs and La Crosse Loggers will begin on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. in Mankato.
